Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning and Development Manager. Working closely with the HR Operations Manager and business you will design, develop, deliver and coordinate training and development activities. You will be responsible for ensuring all employees have the right competencies, skills and knowledge, enabling the company to meet its goals. Other duties will include, ensuring compliance with legislative obligations, providing expert consultancy, coaching and facilitation across a range of areas, including management development, performance and talent management, culture change and employee engagement. As well as leading training initiatives you will be hands-on running training programmes and managing the reward and recognition process for all staff working in partnership with the HR Manager with other HR generalist activities to include recruitment and selection.

Experience & Skills Required

Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience evaluating, designing and delivering management and leadership courses to a wide range of staff across the manufacturing plant. Manufacturing experience is essential ideally within an SME or small site as part of a larger business. Your key skills will be in design, evaluation, competency modelling, assessment techniques, reward processes, training programme design, training needs analysis. You will be passionate about developing staff and succession planning and will have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, be results focused, flexible, adaptable with strong relationship management and influential skills. With CIPD 7 or equivalent you will be highly driven and looking for a role where you can really make a difference. It is essential that you have experience at strategic level and can plan, implement and execute a L&D strategy across a business from shop floor through to senior management.
